Isn’t that what they say, that if you win the morning, you win the day.

Having a regular morning routine makes sense if you want to nourish your body and your mind.

Mornings don't have to be rough. By doing a few focused things when you wake up, you can set yourself up for more of what you want out of your day.

If it seems daunting to overhaul your morning routine all at once, introduce one new practice a week and see if you notice improvement.

Form a Habit

Wake up at YOUR right time – forget the early bird and the worm. If you’re a night owl and 7am seems as painful as 5am - find when works for you and stick to it – try to get up at the same time each workday. It’s about routine, about forming a habit that feels good.

Breathe, focus

Spend ten minutes focusing on just breathing - before you get into the day’s emails, coffee, and socials. Sit quietly and just be. Let there be time to appreciate the day ahead before it overtakes you.

Drink a glass of (not too cold) water – it gets your metabolism going, helps clear out your colon and flushes toxins It will rehydrate your whole body after a long night without.


Stretch for 10 minutes – get your body moving, gently. You’ll increase your flexibility and focus your mind. There is a simple yet effective Yoga routine linked through the image (left). Just go to the menu and drop down to YOGA. It's a great start for budding Yogis


Make your plan for the day. – what is your intention for the day? Productivity, creativity, great communication. Maybe you’re having a day off and want to relax and recharge. Think what the day ahead holds and plan your ideal outcome.
